We're getting married. We'd really like you there. There will be hot dogs. A lot of hot dogs. Everything else you need is on this page, and the bits we forgot are in the FAQ (also hot dogs).

How we got here

  1. October 2019

    Met at a friend's badly organised bonfire. One of us brought the wrong sparklers. The other brought hot dogs. That settled it.

  2. March 2020

    Moved in together. First shared purchase: a hot dog roller. Still going.

  3. Summer 2022

    Got a dog. His name is Bruce. He is a dachshund. He is coming. He will be wearing a bun.

  4. September 2025

    Asked, on a hill, in the rain, with a hot dog. Said yes before the question finished.

  5. This bit. There will be hot dogs.

The day

Getting there & staying

By car

Free parking in the field behind the barn. Follow the signs (shaped like hot dogs), not the satnav, for the last half mile. Hot dog on arrival.

By train

station is 15 minutes away. Two taxi firms: Station Cars 01234 567890, Meadow Taxis 01234 098765. Book ahead. There is a hot dog stand on platform 2.

    Questions

    Will there be hot dogs?

    Yes. On arrival, in the garden, at dinner, during speeches, from two vans, and one for the road. Bring an appetite.

    How many hot dogs can I have?

    There is no limit. We have checked with the caterer twice.

    What should I wear?

    Smart, comfortable, and something you can eat a hot dog in. It's a barn with a field, so heels are brave and white is risky (mustard).

    Can I bring the kids?

    Yes. There'll be a quiet room with cushions, a film, and a small hot dog station.

    Gifts?

    Your being there is the gift. If you insist, there's a pot towards the honeymoon, which is a hot dog tour of Chicago.

    Dietary requirements?

    Tell us on the RSVP form. Every hot dog comes in pork, beef, veggie or vegan. Gluten-free buns too.

    What if I don't like hot dogs?

    We should talk.

    Type your name as it appears on the invitation. We'll show the right options for your lot, including hot dog type and quantity. Please reply by so the vans can stock up.
